Exhibition F**K DOOM: FACT look to 2036, creating a workplace built around 75% reused furniture

Exhibition F**K DOOM: FACT look to 2036, creating a workplace built around 75% reused furniture

FACT Stand: FACT
FACT have time travelled to 2036 when 75% of the furniture in new offices is reused.

We have brought an office from 2036 back to 2026.

Our showroom shows how we did it.

How it looks wonderful.

How we won.

As a part of our showroom exhibition, F**K DOOM, FACT have imagined a future for the workspace:
By 2036, 75% of furniture specified for workplace are reused products!
And rather than simply talking about it, FACT have brought the office they imagine back to 2026. An office from the future, one that looks good, works well and it’s built around reuse.

About F**K DOOM

Here at FACT we are exploring what a reuse-first future for the workspace could look like and that asks an important question: What would a 75% of reuse furniture look like in the workspace?

Rather than presenting sustainability as a secondary thought, FACT is exploring practical steps
needed to make this future possible – showing that circularity doesn’t have to mean compromise.

The future can look beautiful.

Today, leading a fit-out project with a reuse-first approach can be challenging. While great work is already happening across the industry, using reused furniture is not as easy as we would like it to be, with specifying and installation.

FACT believe that needs to change.

For F**K DOOM, we asked some of the furniture industry most progressive companies how they are adapting their businesses to support a more circular future – from refurbishments and repairs, to reuse programs, repurposed materials and approaches designed to keep furniture in circulation for longer.

This resulted in F**K DOOM : office of 2036 brought to life with the help of the following sponsors:
Vitra, Fritz Hansen, Boss Design, Rawside, Senator, Clear Environment and KAVA Surfaces.

FACT also bring together a selection of artisans and makers whose work shares the same F**K DOOM ethos – celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and making things that are built to be loved. Totzke LTD, NORA, Albaray, Anna Hart Design and Emma Pegram Ceramic Artist join the installation, showcasing beautiful, thoughtfully made pieces that demonstrate another side of a more considered future: one where we value what is made, who makes it and how long we keep it.

Supported by: Vitra, Fritz Hansen, Boss Design, Rawside, Senator, Clear Environment, KAVA
Surfaces, Totzke Ltd, NORA, Albaray, Anna Hart Design and Emma Pegram Ceramic Artist.

We visited the future and brought back an office to 2026 – where 75% of the furniture was reused.

75% less carbon.

75% less stuff.

100% beautiful.

We won!

“Doom wants you sad, scrolling, eating cold pizza in a hoodie that smells like despair.
Doom wants you small.
But we’re not extras in the apocalypse.
We’re the scrappy weirdos, the rebels, the fellowship, the kids on the bikes with slingshots who bring
the monster down.
So grab your lightsabre, your skateboard, your playlist, your protest sign, your codes, your memes,
your courage, your skills, your power.
Whatever you’ve got, use it.
Because this isn’t the end of the world.
It’s Level One.
It’s Season One.
It’s Act One.” - Dominick Pegram, Founder, FACT
