Rooted in the reinterpretation of India’s craft heritage, Baarique is a multidisciplinary design practice under the creative direction of Malika Budhiraj. Malika’s vision has always been to preserve and reimagine traditional Indian art and craft through contemporary design.

 For over a decade, the studio has worked with handcrafted and hand-painted brass and bronze, creating tableware and objects that bring Indian artistry into contemporary spaces. Baarique’s work has found a place in award-winning restaurants and luxury hospitality spaces globally. Guided by craftsmanship, storytelling, and sustainability, and shaped by a predominantly women-led team, Baarique continues to create objects that preserve heritage while keeping it relevant for modern spaces.
