Blooming Blooming Blooming

Blooming draws on the orchid as a recurring symbol throughout Thing in Itself, using its associations with delicacy, elegance and quiet strength to reconsider the visual language of masculine dress.

The look retains recognisable elements of tailoring while altering their proportions and details. A structured yellow shirt-jacket is shaped through an extended asymmetric front, softened shoulder construction and curved panels, while patterned facings appear along its edges. A lace bow and small decorative fastenings introduce details more commonly separated from conventional menswear.

Rather than positioning ornament in opposition to masculine tailoring, Blooming allows the two languages to coexist within the same construction. Softness is expressed not by removing structure, but by changing what that structure is permitted to contain.
