Careback translates the bodily experience of carrying into a tailored overcoat with a detachable carrier structure, bringing masculine dress into dialogue with forms associated with caregiving.

The garment incorporates references to traditional baby carriers alongside apron-like elements and reconstructed tailoring details. Its components are connected through over 300 hand-sewn metal fasteners, allowing the structure to be detached, unfolded and reassembled across different configurations.

Rather than treating these mechanisms as concealed technical features, Careback makes fastening, supporting and carrying visible within the garment itself. Care is therefore not applied to clothing as an external theme, but physically built into the way the garment is constructed and worn.
