Developed initially as a wall-mounted variant of the Console Table, this piece assumed a distinct character as the vertical forms were cut, the structure settling into the likeness of a mounted head. Rather than resist this reading, the piece plays with the traditional, sombre form, emerging as asymmetrical, light and graceful.
Hand crafted from micro-laminated fumed oak, the piece carries forward the console table's language of layered growth and transformation but shifts the focus from outer surface to inner structure. The raised mounting height bringing the sculpted underside and layered micro-lamination clearly into view.

One of an edition of six. Each piece is made to order and will retain the same core design attributes, however small variations to colour, grain and shaping are to be expected due to material characteristics and the hand making process.
*Secreted by molluscs, conchiolin forms the organic matrix of a shell – providing a protective, outer layer shielding it from corrosion and serving as an initial framework for growth.
