Developed by Applelec Interiors in partnership with acou.space, the system uses acoustic materials combined with carefully integrated backlighting to reduce reverberation while creating a softer, more visually comfortable environment.
LumiSorb can be specified as individual feature panels, partial wall treatments or larger illuminated acoustic installations, with the pattern, scale, colour and lighting approach tailored to the project. Illumination options can include static white, tunable white and colour-changing solutions, and can be linked to circadian-conscious lighting programmes to allow the light to shift in response to time of day and the needs of the space.
The product has been developed around the idea that acoustics and lighting should not be treated as separate design decisions. By resolving both within one system, LumiSorb can help support calmer transitions, clearer spatial definition and reduced sensory load while still creating a strong architectural feature.
