Solace is inspired by the impact that lighting has on mental well-being, with a focus on creating a calming atmosphere. Rather than relying on the harshness often associated with artificial lighting, it uses slumped and fused coloured glass to softly project light and create ambience. The glass is formed by slumping it over hand-thrown bowls, giving the lampshade an organic quality. Solace celebrates both the beauty of the glass itself and the positive effects it can have on the user and the surrounding space.
