Biomaterials Library is the first publicly accessible physical biomaterials collection in the Baltic States. Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, it brings together experimental materials, research processes and design objects created locally and internationally.
The Library operates as an open platform connecting material creators, designers, artists, researchers, educators, manufacturers and industry. Through its physical archive, exhibitions, workshops and shared resources, it makes emerging material knowledge accessible and supports exchange, collaboration and real-world application. The collection traces materials from biological, renewable and waste-derived sources through their transformation processes to potential uses in contemporary design, highlighting local resources, circular practices and material-specific thinking.
