Founded in 2019, Claud Christian was born from a collaboration between furniture and product designer-makers Claudia Surrage and Christian Cowper. A shared curiosity about materials, sparked after meeting in a ceramics studio, combined with a fascination for refined, geometric forms, has guided the duo across a wide range of disciplines, whether working in ceramics, textiles, furniture, lighting, or beyond. In the years since, the studio has collaborated with a range of brands across Europe and the United States.
Alongside the duo's collaborative projects, the studio continues to develop a growing collection of handcrafted lighting, ceramics, and furniture, all designed and produced in-house and distributed to customers and projects worldwide.
