Di Mao is a London-based multidisciplinary designer and artist, and a Distinction graduate of MA Design: Expanded Practice at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her practice explores how everyday tools, systems and environments shape human behaviour.
Working across installation, objects, publications and participatory design, she often begins with overlooked bodily actions and familiar routines, using observation and experimentation to uncover the relationships between people, objects and their surroundings.
Through playful interventions and participatory systems, her work invites audiences to reconsider behaviours and structures that often go unnoticed in everyday life.
