This exhibition presents projects from MA Sustainable Design, MA Product & Furniture Design and MA Interior Design framed through DesigningWith: Planet — our critical position on designing in response to a rapidly changing world — to create positive change for people, communities, places, and spaces.
New and imaginative possibilities are proposed for the designer as maker, innovator, persuader, curator, transmitter, educator and activist that challenge, expand and redefine the designer’s responsibilities.
Exploring environmental, social, and economic systems; natural resources and the impacts of their use; material sources and flows; the present and future, we ask who benefits from design, what value is created and who gets to participate.
In this exhibition, emerging designers, makers and thinkers are not waiting for the ‘real’ world; they are already shaping and transforming it.
