Neve Beill is a London based ceramicist working with foraged materials and resources sourced from local waste streams. Her practice begins with the discovery of materials across different locations, followed by experimentation, exploring shifts in surface, tone, and texture. Her latest collection centres around the River Thames foreshore, drawing on materials and discoveries gathered along its tidal edge. She uses foraged clay to hand-throw pottery and a wide range of natural materials to create her own glazes. Through this process, the work reframes perceptions of value whilst honouring the material's origin by echoing its natural characteristics.
