Phil Berczuk's creative practice sits at the intersection of the natural and the constructed. Drawing on organic forms, raw materials and elemental processes, as well as the geometry and texture of the built environment he transforms these influences into singular pieces of hand-crafted, sculptural furniture.
His background spans fine art, design and making. He completed a Masters in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts in the 1980s and recently extended his making skills with acclaimed furniture designer Marc Fish at Robinson House Studio in East Sussex graduating with Distinction in 2025. Phil received the Tom Faulkner Award for Distinctive Furniture Design at the New Designers Exhibition in London in 2025 and the Society of Designer Craftsmen award for Outstanding Innovation in Craft & Design in 2026.
He established Phil Berczuk Design in 2025 and lives and works in north London.
