The Dune Collection, presented here at Shoreditch Design Week 2026 as part of NDS within London Design Festival, draws inspiration from the desert landscapes of northern Chile, where I grew up. Iquique, my hometown, is framed by ocean and desert, and presided over by the looming presence of Dragon Hill, a vast sand dune that rises above the city. Each piece reflects the quiet power and raw beauty of this unique place, crafted from stained porcelain and finished with soft, graded glazes. 

The sunlight casts dramatic shadows across the dune's surface, creating a rich palette of shifting tones; oranges and browns predominate during the daytime, giving way to a variety of purples that are revealed when the sun sets in the Pacific. 

At the same time, the wind shapes the sand, carving textures that range from vast dune fields seen from afar to intricate, fingerprint-like patterns up close. 

With this collection, I wanted to invite touch and evoke a sense of movement. The shadows across the surface of the pieces enhances this feeling, encouraging people to explore and connect with these tactile objects.
