Founded in 2019 by curator Varuna Kollanethu, the gallery works with emerging and established artists whose practices are shaped by material intelligence, experimentation and distinctive ways of seeing the world.
Through research-led exhibitions, commissions, art fairs and collaborations, Ruup & Form explores how materials can carry ideas, histories and lived experience. Its programme brings different voices and practices into conversation, with a particular commitment to underrepresented and cross-cultural perspectives.
The gallery supports artists in developing ambitious practices and new work, while creating considered connections with collectors, institutions, designers and cultural partners.
