Every bowl we fill, toy we offer and walk we take reaches beyond our pets themselves. It also shapes what we notice, value and leave behind. Working with biomaterials, Steppe designs pet-care products that allow our care to travel further—to plants, fungi, soil and the wider living world our homes belong to.
Founded by designer Zuriya Wang, the studio explores how ordinary household objects can become common ground where humans and more-than-human life meet. It brings together the natural intelligence of animal behaviour, biological materials and ecological processes, weaving meaningful ecological relationships between species into everyday acts of care.
