Launched in 2019 as a critically acclaimed podcast, Material Matters grew into a leading international platform advancing material intelligence across architecture and design. With more than 140 episodes to date, it convened the global design community through its fairs in London and Copenhagen, its annual conference and an ongoing editorial programme. Owned and organised by Delizia Media Ltd, the initiative championed a deeper understanding of materials, sustainability, craft and innovation.
Set within a repurposed industrial space on Curtain Road, UNLOCKED Shoreditch offered a series of large, flexible studios designed for exhibitions, installations and live cultural programming. Its raw architecture and expansive layouts created a blank canvas for experimental design and immersive showcases during Shoreditch Design Week.
