WORKSHOP - The Sensory Audit: A walkthrough method for buildings you already have
Most sensory problems in a building go unaddressed simply because no one has been given a sequence for finding them. PAS 6463, the UK guidance on neuroinclusive design, recommends a sensory audit for existing buildings at the brief stage. This workshop offers one practical way to carry that out.
Rachel will teach a structured walkthrough across four domains, light, sound, visual load, and spatial friction, then run the audit live on the room itself, showing what to look for, what to measure using apps available on your phone, and how to sort findings into fix now, fix at refresh, and fix at renovation.
Attendees leave with a one-page audit sheet and a method they can use on their own estate the following week. No neuroinclusive design experience needed.
