Shoreditch Design Week: London Design Festival’s largest district announces headliners
Shoreditch Design Week

London Design Festival's largest official district, Shoreditch Design Week brings together a dynamic programme of exhibitions, installations, showroom activations and events across one of the capital's most creative neighbourhoods. Evolving from the long-established Shoreditch Design Triangle, SDW builds on the area’s design heritage and defines Shoreditch as one of the UK design industry’s key destinations.

This year's event expands with the addition of Material Matters, whose fifth edition places material intelligence at the forefront of contemporary design, bringing together pioneering designers, manufacturers and innovators exploring regenerative, circular and low-impact materials.

Sustainability also takes centre stage with Wood for the Trees, an immersive exhibition by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) in collaboration with Mitre & Mondays and Benchmark. Inspired by Forested Future, the installation takes visitors on a journey through the lifecycle of American hardwood.

At exhibition venue, House of Icon 2LG Studio's latest edition of You Can Sit With Us returns with its largest showcase to date, championing emerging designers and makers alongside established names. House of Icon will also host a topical talks programme alongside brands that will present contemporary design products for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors

Across the district, visitors can discover ND Selects by New Designers, spotlighting emerging design businesses, alongside the launch of Design Burger's new book, The Product Design 100, which will be accompanied by a curated exhibition celebrating a decade of outstanding industrial design.

Also new to the programme and co-locating with Design at Work is Neuroplaces, the UK's first B2B exhibition and conference dedicated to neuroinclusive and accessible design, showcasing solutions that champion more inclusive built environments.

Amongst the many showroom activations, independent gallerist Max Radford joins Christopher Farr to present an installation bringing together archival works and emerging artists and designers. Over at The Wax Building, British furniture and lighting brand Tamart reveals its latest designs and a special exhibition, integrating the launch of lighting designs Clore Bead Pendant and Clore Beam.
