A lighting-focused stop exploring the important role light plays in workplace design. XAL will share insight into creating comfortable and engaging working environments through considered architectural lighting, looking at the relationship between performance, wellbeing, atmosphere and spatial experience.

• Stop 3: The Wax Building

A more relaxed perspective on workplace design with Cozmo and Tamart, exploring the growing influence of residential-style thinking within commercial interiors. From lounge furniture and flexible seating to characterful materials and considered detailing, the stop will look at how comfort, craftsmanship and a sense of home can create warmer, more human workplaces that people genuinely want to spend time in.

• Stop 4: The Collective

A tactile exploration of acoustics and materials, looking at how considered material choices can improve the way workplaces sound, feel and perform. Attendees will discover approaches to reducing noise and creating more comfortable environments while maintaining a strong design aesthetic.

• Stop 5: Neuroplaces & Design at Work

The tour will conclude at Protein Studios, where Neuroplaces will explore how environments can better accommodate different neurological and sensory needs, and how small design decisions can create workplaces that feel more comfortable and welcoming. Design at Work will bring together the themes explored throughout the tour, considering how furniture, materials, lighting, wellbeing and inclusive thinking can combine to create more human-centred places to work.
